One of my siblings Sayantani had the experience which she
shared I find it interesting to share with you all. Hope you will like the
experience while reading. Let us know if you need anything more to know.
Thanks Sayantani…
‘It all started with my son crying over that he wants to go
for a short weekend trip, anywhere but he was determined to go. And yes not to
blame it upon him alone, I, myself was also craving for a short
trip... Not too
much of search, as I had already pre decided that my next halt will be
Purulia's Ayodhya Hills.
Thereby we started our journey. From Howrah we boarded the
CKP Passenger from Kolkata... I preferred this train as it reaches Purulia 7am
in the morning and it doesn’t have much Delay History.

Day 1
Our trip started with Deulghata Temple Relics - it is
located near Boram and has ruins of some 15 temples. We were completely bowled
over by the small shrines near Kansai River.
The next place that we went was Surulia Deer Park . My son
was thrilled as he spotted the Deers and Porcupines , monkey and bears. This
Surulia Mini Zoo was actually established as a Spotted Deer Rescue and
gradually it became the safe abode of rescued, confiscated, sick and orphaned
wild animals and birds. The Day 1 ended and we were excited about our next day
trip more...
Day 2
Via Sirkabad, we reached Ayodhya the next day... Moved in
and around the city that particular day and our 3rd Day started with the
mesmerized Ayodhya Hills.
The captivating view of these hills which are part of the
Dalma Mountain Range along with the waterfalls were just enough to sooth our
senses. No sooner we were there, both of us started hunting for the hidden
waterfalls, bird watching and the azure lakes, trying to capture as much as we
can in our camera lens.

Day 3
Amongst the waterfalls, we visited Ghagkocha Falls, Brahmani
Falls and Turga Falls. Ayodhya hills itself provides a picturesque view and is
actually a treat to the eyes of an ardent traveler. My son and I were
completely taken away with the beauty and the aura of the hills....
We wished we could prolonged our stay amidst the beauty of
the hills and the gurgling sounds of the waterfall but alas, all good things
come to an end and so was our trip... With the memories alongside we bid adieu
to the hills and boarded the train back to Kolkata...
The trip was memorable and undoubtedly for all my readers i
would advise, once in your lifetime, do make sure to pay your visits to the
Mesmerising Ayodhya Hills.’
