Weekend Trip to Garpanchkot

Weekend escapade from Kolkata which can turn your mood. Situated in Purulia District which close to the boundary with Burdwan and Jharkhand.

Reaching There – 252 kms by road via Asansol ex Kolkata. Adra is the nearest rail station to hop on to the place.

Places to visit – 

Garpanchkot is a 3 days trip but if you have time constraint you can complete the same in 2 days. I'm sharing the way we planned our itinerary and covered the Garpanchkot Trip.


1st day post check-in to the hotel you can go for Village Telkupi is the first nearest place to visit, you can easily get the luxurious resorts. During the afternoon you must visit DVC Park and Panchet Dam. Sunset from Panchet Dam you afford not to miss while staying there.

2nd Day tour you can start from Garh, Birinchi Mandir and small waterfall near to it. Joychandi Pahar must be included to your itinerary before you put a pause for the day.

By taking a lunch break post which you can visit Muradi Dam and the sunset view is non-parallel from there. We visited the place during monsoon the breeze, freshness will surely make feel refreshed then.

On 3rd and final day you can engage yourself being paparazzi or selfie king/queen. While returning you will be engaged to see Chinnamasta Temple at Disergarh Ghat.

Best time to visit is during winter season. October to February or you can plan your trip during monsoon as well.
